My parent’s high street shop hit hard times when bigger brands came to the area to compete. I didn’t know it then, but this shaped the way I see small businesses. I now passionately support the indies out there who are carving out their own special place in the market. It’s my mission to help & the way I do it really matters.

one/ SIMPLICITY

I know how easy it is to want to give all the knowledge, help in all the ways you can, labour over the small details, the equipment, tweak or re-write over & over, research all the nuances of every option...but to move this to a ‘done’ you need simplicity at every turn.

This year, I have made major changes to simplify my life & business. Simplicity has become a core value running through everything I do & teach at The Brandologist, because I believe it will help you to flourish in the way you’re capable of and in the ways that are sustainable.

two/ IT’S PERSONAL

You’re a person to me, not a number. Your customers are people to you. In fact, that might be why you’ve held back from creating an online offer, because you worry about it not feeling personal (it doesn’t have to be that way though!). Data is important as a marketer, but it doesn’t take priority over relationships.

Keeping it personal to me is about recognising how we’re all connected. It means I’ll always operate as one human being to another. I’ll see you, listen to you & encourage friendship, collaboration & support.

three/ ALIGNMENT

Being ‘out of alignment’ is that niggling feeling when something is off. To me, alignment is also about being on a path to playing bigger - it’s that knowledge that you’re following the threads & living in a way that’s true to you. You could call it authenticity, you could even call it integrity. If it feels wrong, it probably is wrong. It’s why I practice ethical marketing, it’s why I’ll tell you honestly if you need to refine something (with kindness of course!), it’s why I’ll help you create an offer with a look & feel that’s aligned with your ideal customer & your own values.

Sometimes it’s hard to recognise when you’re sitting in your comfort zone, too scared to break away, versus feeling out of alignment. I do my best to see what’s true for you so I can help you make the best decisions.

four/ JOY

I will support you in the pursuit of joy in your business. That feeling of excitement, contentment, gentle satisfaction that you’re working in your zone of genius, your branding is looking bloomin amazing (you feel super proud of it) & your offer feels joyful to deliver. The pursuit of joy has led me to make some difficult decisions over the years, but I believe strongly in ‘braving the wilderness’ (to quote Brene Brown!) & I uphold this value for you too.
